MAXINE! A 17" Naber Kids Wooden Original- 1987-1988
Hutschenreuther "Rearing Stallion" (Weißes Rössl) — Gunther Granget

A beautiful example of mid-century German porcelain artistry, this 10" rearing stallion was sculpted by renowned artist Gunther Granget and produced by Lorenz Hutschenreuther Kunstabteilung (Art Division) in Selb, Bavaria. Known in German as "Weißes Rössl," this iconic piece from Hutschenreuther's celebrated Horses and Horsemen series captures the horse in a powerful mid-rear pose with flowing mane and exceptional muscular detail. The high-gloss white glaze is flawless.
Liesel is here and she's more beautiful and perfect than I expected! She's an antique Porzellanfabrik Mengersgereuth , 17" fully bisque and fully jointed doll- circa. 1913-1925 from Thuringia, Germany! How she survived with no damage to her porcelain body for over a 100 years sure speaks volumes to the love and serious care she received from her former owners! Every now and then a doll will arrive and instantly hit a home run with your heart. Liesel is definantely one of those.

Antique Victorian Poured Wax Doll — 32" — c. 1860–1885
A breathtaking example of Victorian doll artistry, this magnificent 32" poured wax doll is a rare survivor from the golden age of English doll making. She commands attention with her luminous poured wax head and limbs, piercing blue glass eyes, and delicate blonde ringlet wig — all hallmarks of the finest Victorian dollmakers, including the celebrated Pierotti and Montanari families of London.
Her straw-stuffed cloth body, poured wax lower limbs, and original period clothing — white cotton dress with lace-trimmed pantaloons, bonnet, and pearl earrings — speak to her remarkable age and authenticity. At over 140 years old, she is in wonderful antique condition, retaining the quiet dignity and ethereal beauty that made these dolls the prized possessions of Victorian England's most privileged households.
A serious collector's piece of this caliber rarely comes to market in original condition. She would be a crown jewel in any Victorian doll collection.
She's on her way from across the pond! ANTIQUE VICTORIAN WAX-OVER DOLL
Rare Straw-Core & Wood Construction • Complete Original Costume • Circa 1860–1890
She is old, she is rare, and she is extraordinary. This hauntingly beautiful Victorian wax-over doll dates to approximately 1860–1890 and represents one of the earliest forms of doll manufacture- a tradition that predates the later use of composition and bisque by decades. Her poured wax head, applied over a straw/ horsehair core, gives her face a lifelike translucency that no modern reproduction can replicate. She is atmospheric, a little creepy in the most wonderful Victorian way, and absolutely compelling! She is in bloomers, two underskirts, a blue main dress, a white apron, and her original white bonnet, all five layers present and original. Her carved wood hands and legs (to the knee) are intact, and her cloth body, stuffed with straw/ horsehair, remains structurally sound. She has not been "restored" or tampered with — what you see is 130 to 160 years of honest, unaltered history. She could use some sympathetic conservation attention — the wax shows age crazing consistent with her years, and one of her glass eyes appears cloudy and slightly distorted where the wax has receded around the socket — but for the serious collector, this is precisely what makes her authentic and irreplaceable. In unrestored original condition with all clothing layers intact, examples of this construction type are increasingly rare and eagerly sought.

Meet ORIAN! Beautiful Gold Tang Dynasty War Horse! He's hand carved wood and a whopping 42" High! We believe he's from the 1930's-40's? He arrived here from a NY Long Island Gold Coast estate sale and was in neglected and damaged condition. We got to work repairing, painting and bringing him back, as close as possible, to his original state. Yes, he was originally gold leaf!
Magnificent 19th Century survivor! Seraphine is a 21" 'Pierotti' Poured Wax Shoulder-Head doll! Circa 1870.. Rooted blonde mohair, beautiful glass eyes.. She traveled here all the way from the UK!

Vintage wind up pillar desk clock 8" PRIM. Czechoslovakia, Works great and keeps very good time too! There's something special about this little clock and its very soft ticking is somewhat comforting . I've only seen one other one for sale online. It was priced close to $200 and wasn't near as nice looking as mine which btw, actually sits on my desk while I'm working online. I may even decide to keep it!

Beautiful Solid Brass Collection!
This amazing antique WAX survivor is somewhat of a mystery to us. As near as we can tell from our research, he was created as a wax tribute character doll to the famous Spanish painter, Francisco Goya of Goya's "Red Boy" painting. Manuel Osorio Manrique de Zúñiga is a large full-length portrait in oil painted in 1787–88. It depicts a boy three or four years of age, standing in fancy velvet red clothes, with birds and cats. I actually created a diorama of the scene sitting beneath the framed print of the original painting, which is pictured above.
